Lunch Money

Posted on

A personal favorite of mine; I learned to drive in a 1968 Ford F250. This beauty was parked outside the place where a friend and I were grabbing lunch — and I didn’t have my sketch pad! But there were those tiny little lottery pencils up by the register, and there were placemats. That was good enough for me. It was the usual game; could I finish before my meal was ready? As our food showed up, the waiter saw it and asked if he could show the truck’s owner. I snapped a picture and then told the waiter he could give it to him. The truck’s owner was very appreciative — and that quick sketch paid for my lunch.
